Delaney Nugent Bio

Delaney Nugent is a vocational education and training expert, a qualified school teacher and experienced project manager.

For twenty years, including five with SkillsDMC, Delaney has worked with clients both in Australia and around the world to overcome a range of access and equity issues in technical and vocational education and training, including those related to indigenous and multicultural engagement with training systems and enabling access to training for people with disabilities and socioeconomic disadvantage.

Delaney has skills and expertise in:

  • Capacity building
  • Team leadership
  • Training and assessment

Delaney has been able to drive program design through management roles within the education and training system, focusing on the development of cross industry partnerships.  She has been instrumental in developing training programs working closely with the private sector, especially in the mining and agriculture industries, developing productive partnerships focused on workforce planning to identify the needs of their future workforce.

Delaney holds a Bachelor of Education (Secondary) and a Diploma of Education (Commerce and Computing), a Diploma of Project Management and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, making her a qualified vocational trainer and assessor in Australia.
