Sarah Nalumansi – Senior Consultant, Uganda Project
Sarah Nalumansi is a TVET Senior Consultant, Trainer, Facilitator and Moderator with over 30 years’ experience managing projects in the area of skills development across a wide range of industrial sectors, gender training & analysis in Nigeria, Zimbabwe and Uganda. She is part of the Kampala based team who is delivering our Due Diligence and Technical Evaluation project to address skills imbalances and shortages in Uganda. The project, sponsored by the World Bank, has been officially awarded to Sustainable Skills in July 2017.
Starting her career as a Product Designer and Modification Engineer in Kenya, Sarah has been engaged in a number of roles including Senior Lecturer and Head of Mechanical Engineering Department at the Federal Polytechnic Bida in Nigeria, Regional Adviser on Technology for the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) SADC Regional Office, Director of Training and Quality Development for the Uganda Manufacturers’ Association, as well as Senior Advisor, TVET with GTZ/PEVOT and Gender Specialist. Alongside this, Sarah has served as a consultant to a number of International organisations for over 20 years.

Sarah holds a B.Sc., Honors in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nairobi (Kenya), a M.Sc. in Machine Tool Technology from the University of Birmingham (UK), as well as a Gender Training in TVET qualification from InWEnt (Germany). She is member of the Institution of Professional Engineers, Engineers Registration Board, Women Engineers, Technician and Scientist, and Gender Trainers Network in Uganda.
