Michael Payne-Executive Director of Operations and Company Secretary
Michael Payne is Sustainable Skills’ Director of Operations, responsible for Business Development, Contract Fulfilment, Project Management and Customer Support.
Since he joined SkillsDMC in January 2013, Michael has progressed from administration of SkillsDMC’s funding programs to various ICT, Management and Governance related roles and currently holds the position of Executive Director of Operations as well as company secretary.
Thanks to his expertise, operational skills, flexibility, and dedication, Michael has been instrumental in creating a smooth and efficient transition from SkillsDMC to Sustainable Skills. Michael is currently responsible for Business Development, Project Implementation, Contract and Tender Processes, Sales Management, Contract Fulfilment and Customer Support. He is also managing Business Operations, including Administration, ICT, Finance and Accounting.

Staring his career as a computer programmer, Michael has worked in a number of roles for various enterprises and not-for-profit organisations including IBM, Samsung Electronics, Edwards Dunlop and Mission Australia. He has previously served as a Board Director for Loquinar Pty Ltd, an IT Sofware Startup Company where he also held the position of Executive Director of Finance and Administration.
Michael holds a Certificate IV in Employment Services and a Masters Training in Creativity Counselling, as well as a number of Professional Certifications.
